Once again Fitur, the International Tourism Fair, would turn Madrid, for a few days, into the epicentre of world tourism for a few days and we didn’t want to miss out.
Together with ProColombia we worked to raise awareness about the country and its treasures.
#ColombiaEsRealismoMágico (Colombia is magically authentic) was the claim chosen to present Colombia to the world and it became a trending topic twice on 19th January thanks to more than 450 travel bloggers who posted using the hashtag. Colombia’s natural beauty, music, dance and food were the key focal points of the ProColombia stand that was awarded Best Stand at Fitur 2017.
The latest technology allowed visitors to travel directly to some of the most iconic places via Facebook Live connections, in addition to being able to completely immerse themselves in the country’s nature with virtual reality videos.
We were the highlight of numerous articles and reports on the fair on the main TV channels, we shared ‘show cooking’ videos on social media channels and we reached more than 2.5 million people with our digital communication activities.
All this enabled us to achieve our goal: to have not only the thousands of Fitur visitors but also numerous people who did not attend the travel fair, fall in love with Colombia.
